About the letters

Once a month I'll sit down and write you a real letter about Madrid: its streets, its people and the small things that never make it into a guidebook. I'll post it myself from the Palacio de Cibeles, the post office where Homingway began. No feed and no notifications, just paper, ink and a stamp.

The post office

The Palacio de Cibeles was built as Madrid's main post and telegraph building and opened in 1919. Since 2007 it has been Madrid's City Hall. A post office still works inside, at Paseo del Prado 1.
